Otzi VS Elsa VS Jack Frost
Put on your seatbelts. This one is a doozy.
Elsa found herself in the middle of two winter wonderlands last week with ERBP's Otzi VS Elsa and my very own Elsa VS Jack Frost.
Since there's so much behind the scenes and fun facts about Elsa VS Jack Frost, we will start with that. Those of you who survive that storm will be gifted with a dive into the prequel.
The first thing we'll address is the controversy over Jack Frost's characterization.
If you ask a 13 year old girl, they will tell you Jack Frost is the protagonist of the movie, Rise of the Guardians.
If you ask a middle-aged person who Jack Frost is, they will tell you he's the antagonist of the movie, Santa Clause 3, portrayed by Martin Short.
Some may say he is the character from the Rankin-Bass TV special of the same name.
If you look up Jack Frost on google, you pretty much only see Jackson Overland Frost from Rise of the Guardians. And information on a family ski resort!
Now, this idea of a being called 'Jack Frost' had to exist somewhere before it was twisted around the way it was.
From Wikipedia,
Jack Frost is the personification of frost, ice, snow, sleet, and freezing cold weather,[1] a variant of Old Man Winter held responsible for frosty weather, for nipping the nose and toes in such weather, coloring the foliage in autumn, and leaving fernlike patterns on cold windows in winter.
Starting in late 19th century literature, more filled-out characterizations of Jack Frost have made him into a sprite-like character. He sometimes appears as a sinister mischief maker.
So how do we create a unique character with a balance between 'sprite like' and 'sinister mischief maker'?
The face and hair of Jackson Frost,
The pale, cartoonish sketch texture of Rankin-Bass Fros,
The wicked motives of Martin Short Frost,
The sinister demeanor of mythological Frost.
t
So if you were questioning any of my choices in character, I hope this makes it evident that MY Jack Frost is a compilation of ALL Jack Frosts throughout history.
Now to the battle.
This takes place immediately after Elsa metaphorically throws Otzi off a cliff.
Jack Frost appears in her castle, making fern like patterns on the window.
Elsa, returning to her humble abode, is greeted by the mischief maker. Evidently, she's still in the mood for a rap battle.
She calls Frost a jester, a title given to a medieval trickster. As Elsa is the Queen of her land, she makes clear that Frost is merely a court jester - and it is her duty as ruler to keep those like him on their best behavior.
While neither characters are necessarily 'real', Elsa, in her own realm, is a legitimate human being. Jack Frost, however, is widely known as an imaginary being, more of an idiom rather than a person. Jack is the personification of snow, and Elsa, while not to the best of her ability, does control the snow. Because of this, Elsa presumes an inherent dominance over Frost.
6 below refers to temperature, in degrees, as is seen in the next part of the line.
But did you know that 6 feet below ground is the standard digging depth to bury a body?
Elsa uses this standardized rule as a play on words - not only are her rhymes 6 degrees below 0, but they are powerful enough to kill Frost and bury him 6 feet under.
A villain's life was indeed meant for the Snow Queen. The original concept for "Frozen" involved Anna and Kristoff journeying to cure the curse that her villainous sister placed on her. However, Disney struggled with creating a believable villain out of Elsa, and developed her character further with a sympathetic, misunderstood personality.
One of the most popular iterations of Jack Frost is not an iteration at all, rather, a lyric from Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song".
Elsa turns the words around, saying that she in fact is the source from which the chestnuts are roasted. Chestnuts, in this situation, referencing Jack's testicles...
The next line follows up the previous as it does in the Nat King Cole tune.
If Jack Frost keeps nipping at Elsa's nose (trying to get a little sumt sumt), then Elsa will turn him into the movie's title:
-Frozen-

While writing this battle, I knew I wanted to draw a rhyme scheme out of the name 'Jack Frost'. I had this in my head already because a phrase that rhymes with 'Jack Frost' happens to be the title of the next song I'm working on... and that song involves a chorus where all of the lines rhyme with this mystery word. That being almost finished written at the time of this battle, I had some ideas for what I could rhyme 'Jack Frost' with. Surprisingly, the only rhyme that is in both songs is 'Sasquatch'...
I thought it would be an introduction to Jack's foul mind by calling Elsa a Sasquatch - try it on your girl friends!
No, but sasquatch is a terrible thing to call a girl, since it insinuates that they are both fat and hairy.
Also, the Sasquatch is known to live alone in the mountains. This draws another parallel to Elsa's character.
He follows up by calling her frail, saying
"You're the type of icicle I snap off and snack on".
He calls her frail, brittle, and easily snapped or made angry.
Jack, being the personification of snow, can be held accountable for making friends with wildlife and incorporating nature into his diet. It's only right for the personification of snow to eat icicles.
-explain trouble with this scene-
Along with the 'Jack Frost' rhyme scheme, I knew I wanted to do one with 'frost breath'. As soon as I thought of frost breath, I instantly heard 'hot mess', so it started there.
These first 2 lines were some of the last to be written, simply because I knew what I wanted to put there but didn't want to waste all my time thinking of rhymes while I could be researching and connecting other aspects of both characters.
for those who don't know, THOT is an anagram for "That Hoe Over There' and was very popular last year. Not only does Jack call all the Disney Princesses THOTs, but he calls Elsa the most thoughtless of the bunch.
While Elsa does have a home, it is one created from the snow after she had abandoned her real home. Jack also belittles her to that of an elf.
The billion dollar baby line is immensley deep, so listen closely.
The movie 'Frozen' has grossed over a billion dollars since its launch.
Jack calls her an ungrateful crybaby, as she earned all this money but is still a moody whiner.
In the movie 'Million Dollar Baby', by Clint Eastwood, the broken neck boxer wishes that Clint Eastwood's character help her die, as she got everything she wanted out of life and it wasn't worth living anymore. Frost compares Elsa to this character in the way that she runs away from her kingdom while she is Queen does not want to be. Frost says he would be happy to help the Billion Dollar Baby remove herself from the throne, just like Clint Eastwood's character eventually went through with helping the boxer remove herself from the world.
Jack's method of removing Elsa from the throne involves calling an -assembly of her sceevy regal people-
sceevy is a slang term to mean gross, dirty, and in this case, overly-sophisticated.
In Kingdoms like Elsa's an assembly of council people would have to be called in order to remove a ruler from their held office.
The followup line means that Elsa's movie was so bad that not even the people in it want to see a sequel. Frozen has been rumored several times to have a sequel following the widely popular first movie. This proposed situation basically states that Jack will have Elsa royally impeached - through a legal system that involves her own cast mates and constituents - all because they hate the movie - and because Elsa is wary of wearing the crown.
------------
No more of Jack's folklore does Elsa want to hear about. Jack's history is rooted in folklore, and he has it to thank for his survival.
Elsa compares Jack's pale body and accused wimpishness to that of fellow princess, Snow White
She does this by telling him to tell his (Snow White's) seven dwarfs that their leader (who is the accused Jack Frost) is succumbing to the will of their true Queen, Elsa.
Elsa reenacts a television weather report when she warns Jack that her storm is approaching.
She belittles Jack's ability to control the weather by overcomplimenting her's, saying that the weathermen on television will actually report her kind of snowstorm. Frost's snowstorm would be weak enough to the point where meteorologists wouldn't see it on the radar.
If Jack thinks that Elsa is losing this battle, or has been frost bitten by her, she warns him to think again. If he thinks that SHE is frost bitten, he must not have seen his shriveled balls in a while!
Yes, this line is dirty... even though it may not sound like it.
You know I hate to make dirty lines but they're so easy to think of and often times hit the hardest. if I neglect to use a good line that I think of its selling myself short.. so here goes nothing:
Elsa uses the term 'christmas tree' to refer to Jack's penis. Since he is a creature of the wild, she insinuates that Jack's penis must be composed of ferns, leaves and twigs. Men's testicles are widely known to decrease in size due to frigid temperatures. The testicles seek warmth by retracting into the pelvis, where they seem externally smaller. As both characters are beings of the snow, but Jack is a male, it is only natural that his testicles are in fact eternally frost bitten.
------------
Jack calls Elsa's affiliation with the snow something that she forced upon herself. Originally, she despised her powers, but then she sought refuge in an environment surrounded by the very thing her powers created. Her hypocritical ways are undeserving of the title 'ice related'.
If Elsa's goals are to be excluded from society and be reluctant to reconcile with her family, she is only doing an injustice to herslef. Jack points this out in saying that her frozen heart will cripple under the isolation she puts herself through if her only will to fight is to shun herself from the world.
Frost calls Elsa 'Hades' sister. Hades being from Disney's Hercules. The early concept design of Elsa has hair and facial features similar to the ruler of the underworld.
Although her final design was different from this, Frost still finds her as equally hideous as her accused brother.
Frost says Elsa is a wannabe just like her most recent counterparts: Anna, Midina, Rapunzel and Tiana. He believes only the old school princess are official.
And, Elsa's terrible character flaws are the reason she will never be inducted into this legendary list of feminine role models. Frost compares her chances of induction to that of a shipwreck, as Elsa's parents notoriously were killed in a shipwreck at the beginning of her movie. Using the term 'starboard' towards a shipwreck means that her chances are 'looking right towards a shipwreck'. In nautical language, starboard means the right side of a ship.
---------
Although Frost is commonly known as Old Man, Elsa says Frost is too much of a child to fit that role. If he thinks he does fit that role, Elsa will criss-cross him off. The term 'criss cross', meaning to 'X' out or omit from a medium, is separated in the line through a wordplay technique. If he 'cross'es her he will get 'criss'ed off. Crissed off is a homonym for Kristoff, a character from the Frozen movie. Criss-cross is also the pattern seen on Jack Frost's body texture, so this is also a reference to that. She will remove his existence from time and space if he thinks he is more honorable than he truly is.
Elsa mocks his affiliation with the snow, offering to create him a snow woman to be his relationship partner. For someone who lives in the icy wilderness and tends to animals, Frost may have somewhat of a fetish for snow. Elsa reacts to this possibility by saying Frost would be sexually interested in a snowman. In saying this, she also insinuates that he is 'forever alone' for all you meme children...
This is also an obvious reference to the song from Frozen, do you want to build a snowman.
Comment on the sung notes

If Jack Frost's persona was as abused, manipualted, or turned gimmicky as Elsa's, then he would have surpassed her amount of fame by this point. He says this cleverly:
FastPassing is Disney World's method of bypassing waiting lines by reserving a spot in a much shorter wait line. The meet and greet with Elsa and Anna has been known to sellout of Fast Passes months in advance. Frost says, while he would be the first to outlast Elsa, he'd be the last to fastpass her.
--------------
Jack Frost is survived by several different iterations of what is supposed to be the same character. Elsa is saying that her iconic appearance in the movie Frozen is enough to last forever, while Jack is barely holding on to his relevance in today's world. She suggests he let go of this relevance, both physically and emotionally, and submit to being forgotten forever.
--------------
Mother Nature and Jack Frost are both personifications of nature. Neither are truly real characters with a specific identity, but have been repurposed over time. In the Santa Clause 3, Jack Frost and Mother Nature are even seen together in the Council of Legendary Figures. It is safe to assume that these 2 imaginary creatures are friends. Mother Nature can be theoretically held responsible for granting Elsa with her powers: more powers than the average human would have. 1 power is too many for Elsa, and Jack makes this clear in this horrendously vulgar line.
Mother Nature is also known for being the harbringer of a woman's monthly period. Shouldn't it be Eve? Anywho, the term 'mother nature's gift' regeres to menstruation. Jack Frost brings this all full circle. Saying:
If mother nature were to gift someone too much, this would mean they have their period more than they should. In this situation, it also means that Elsa has more gifts or powers than she should. As girls bleed when they have their period, Elsa would be prone to bleed more than one week of the month of mother nature were to over-gift her. Jack will beat her up so bad to the point where she is covered in blood all weeks of every month, just as if Mother Nature were to give her a gift 3 extra weeks of the month than normal.
-talk about behind the scenes and sound effects-
so, after we finished filming for Elsa, ERBP was ready for Otzi VS Elsa. I had known this for a while, and, thinking it would never happen, I made my own instead. However, it was happening, and it was happening soon. So I devised this plan to connect the two battles as a continuous storyline, both to be released on the same day. During this process, I was priveleged to re-write Otzi's verse, as I had already written Elsa's myself.
this original battle had some terrible lines. we'll get to that later.
But let's dive into some of the lines from the prequel, Otzi VS Elsa.
The only lines I didnt rewrite are the first 4. I thought it was a neat connection and, while i could have rewritten it, I would have turned it into one of those indirect lines that wouldnt be understood. ERBP's fanbase is more... present.. than mine, so I thought a more simple and straightforward way to present this idea of Halloween and Christmas would be more effective.
-explain what original lines were and what they were changed to in Otzi's first verse-
------------
Elsa calls Otzi by the name of Bear Grylls, who I made a cameo as! Bear Grylls is an adventurer famous for drinking his own piss for survival. Elsa compares the two by being like, who are you man? are you bear grylls? hes the only mountain dweller whos barely important enough to mention so who are you?
Otzi was a warrior, pillager, whatever.
If he wants to see what a real predator is, he'll have to look at Elsa.
Otzi, being the angry one in this battle, is shown having a high temper.
However, since he was frozen for so long, she plays on the word temper by saying he has too low of a temperature,
the reason for his freezing.
rhyme scheme
Elsa mocks the true story of Otzi's accidental preservation. Was he killed in battle? Was he just roaming around and got lost and buried under an avalanche? or was he sacrificed as ritual and left to rot? All 3 are mentioned here.
Elsa says he will lose his epidermis, or his layer of skin, if he tries to fight her. this is true, as otzi's epidermis withered away in his preservation.
He will also get whipped by Elsa. Studies have shown that Otzi had an intestinal parasite called 'whipworm' at the time of his natural burial.
Once upon a time is the television series Elsa was popular enough to land an iteration in.
Elsa calls Otzi Scrooge McGruff, a combination of references. Scrooge being the rotten souless Christmas character, Scrooge McDuck being Disney's personification of Scrooge (Elsa would know this, being from the Disney Realm), and the Gruff part to diss his grizzly features.
in this story-telling situation, Otzi was killed and buried at the same time Elsa rid herself of her worries, tossing her glove into oblivion. It is known that Otzi was buried near a glacier with access to water that aided in his preservation - a gully.

explain the chiseling
--------
Wikipedia:
Ötzi had several carbon tattoos including groups of short, parallel, vertical lines to both sides of the lumbar spine, a cruciform mark behind the right knee, and various marks around both ankles.
It has been speculated that these tattoos may have been related to pain relief treatments similar to acupressure or acupuncture. If so, this is at least 2000 years before their previously known earliest use in China (c. 1000 BCE).[26]
When Elsa is finished battling Otzi, he will need more of these pain relieving tattoos because of how brutally she will have destroyed him.
She handcrafted the kingdom that killed Otzi. Her snow controlling capabilties created a winter wonderland - one that she accuses of being the same theoretical mountain range which buried Otzi and took his life (but was nice enough to preserve his body)
Wikipedia:
Other items found with the Iceman were a copper axe with a yew handle, a flint-bladed knife with anash handle and a quiver of 14 arrows with viburnum and dogwood shafts.
Since Elsa doesnt use weapons, she warns Otzi to fight fairly, or she will obliterate him.
Otzi's other nicknames included 'Frozen Fritz'. Elsa plays on this term by saying she will turn him into 'Frozen Fractals' - one of her popular song lyrics.
Elsa compares Otzi's small museum as his sanctuary to her gargantuan palace - and if he does not realize this and return to it, she will break off his penis, again. re-shatter his phallus. the phallus is another name for a penis, especially one that is erect. Elsa is also accusing him of having the hots (or the colds hehe) for her. Oh yeah Otzi's penis was gone when they found him no big deal
Elsa has been blessed with a power - she compares this to Otzi not being blessed with anything other than to eternally sneeze. As Otzi was frozen in a position that insinuates one is sneezing into their arm, saying he was blessed refers to how the common response when someone sneezes is "God Bless You"
In Skyrim, a common phrase is "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee". It is widely popular as an internet meme.
Wikipedia notes that, In 2001 X-rays and a CT scan revealed that Ötzi had an arrowhead lodged in his left shoulder when he died,[44] and a matching small tear on his coat.[45] The discovery of the arrowhead prompted researchers to theorize Ötzi died of blood loss from the wound, or exsanguination.
Elsa parallels the story of Otzi's possible cause of death to this popular quote from the video game.
Elsa's closing quartet is a proposed situational metaphor.
Otzi's life and death is a mystery - it is unknown exactly what happened to him, but it can be scientifically theorized through evidence. Not that it can only be theorized, not known. Therefore, the entire existence of Otzi is itself a storybook cliffhanger - leaving the world on edge about what actually happened to him. It is possible that he did fall from a cliff hanger, and Elsa notes this. To avoid a cliffhanger in Otzi's existenece, she tells him to let go of the cliff. "Let it Go". inadvertently killing himself and possibly erasing his existence from history.
Yep.
